The purpose of Public Safety Distributed Antenna Systems is to provide indoor radio coverage for key safety personnel in the event of an emergency. Although the public safety radio coverage is typically adequate outdoors, the story changes once you go indoors. That coverage is dramatically affected by in building interference and building materials such as low-e glass, metal, and concrete, and can make the public safety signal unusable for fire, ambulatory or police departments when needed in critical situations in your building.
Most, if not all, new construction projects and major rehab projects must meet IFC and/or NFPA specifications (depending on your location) in order to obtain a certificate of occupancy.
Telamon has the expertise and experience to provide Public Safety coverage inside your building. This public safety network is typically a parallel network installation, using a designated First Provider frequency for that community. From site survey and design, to frequency coordination, implementation and optimization, your facility will be ready should a First Provider communication be required.
